Welcome everyone. Today we started to install door panels in the ’94 Mustang. Also added the outside window trim and seals. I still need to pull the seats out of the ’96 so I can put new black seat covers, then install them into the ’94. The ’96 will have a race seat in it. The drivers power seat on the ’94 has issues, and someone had tried to repair it (bad welding). I was going to repair it, but the ’96 seats seem in much better shape, and we won’t need them.
We’re bringing our stock car down to my friends at PNP so we have full use of the lifts. We will be installing a new rear end with 3.73 gears with all new UPR upper and lower control arms this weekend.
Here are some pictures of how this car started off:
Car is really rough. 302, 5spd, 4 wheel disc.
We had to sand the roof, fenders, and rear down to metal.
After lots of sanding, primer, and blocking we pulled the car out with a black primer on the front end with a new cobra nose and 3 1/2″ cowl hood.
The car has all new springs, rubber and sits 1″ lower than stock. New wheel bearings in front with new brakes, shocks, ball joints.
Back from paint.
New Glass from our friends at Safelite Autoglass. New headlights. Tail lights are polished on the CVEC polisher.
Waiting for the rain to go away. Every day its been raining. Welcome to Central Florida at Summer time.
So far this is what the car will look like when done.
Carpet is in, interior panels are in, new seat belts are installed. Still not liking the seats for this car. So far we shaved about 100 lbs with the new interior parts.
Well it looks like PNP will be on our doors for our first season. Welcome PNP Auto.
Interior is installed.:
Car has been coming along, and we look forward to getting back to the track this year. We’ve had great success running the racing program at Valkaria RC, bringing in the Boy Scouts of America, and now the Girl Scouts as well to our new RC racing facility. Our Drag Racing program has been delayed a bit to help our local community with the help of Hobbytown USA of West Melbourne, as well as Superior Hobbies of Casselberry, FL with Callagy Tire, Sun Stoppers, and PNP, and Skyman Park at the Valkaria Airport.
Just watching the kids faces light up when they get to see and participate in a radio controlled race is so gratifying, we hope to do so much more for them this year.
